Seems like the writer is myopic about managers .Probably he sees only HBS educated managers as managers. Or else this is a case of well strategised marketing in that they want all the managers and wanna-be-managers to think that "Great" managers "value ways to think about their world, and mental tools that will let them make decisions and predictions with a level of confidence higher than they get from experience and intuition alone". Atleast the book ( on such snake oil theories)sales will be good .
